we are looking for a Medical writer
As a Medical Writer at akt health, you will be working across several therapy areas to create a range of engaging and creative scientific material. You will take pride in creating scientifically accurate content for both promotional and non-promotional deliverables.
The Role
Client Work
- Deep scientific/therapeutic knowledge
- Able to lead discussions on therapy area, therapy decision-making considerations and patient pathways with clients and external clinical leaders
Writing skills
- Undertakes content delivery with minimal supervision from senior team to ensure timely execution to a high standard
- Clear, persuasive writing style, able to develop a compelling narrative from complex information
- Apply critical thinking skills towards applying a project brief to achieve deliverables in a timely and efficient manner
- Balance telling a coherent and compelling story within the regulatory framework
- Challenge client / account teams on the most effective approach in addressing client / brand needs
Client liaison
- Leads scientific discussion with clients and external experts as appropriate to capture briefs, resolve queries, and progress scientific content development in timely and efficient manner
- Comfortable to present work to clients and has the ability to articulate the story
- Provides input and recommendations to enhance service offering and support organic growth of designated accounts
Internal liaison
- Can articulate the scientific story to non-scientific colleagues in a clear and concise manner
- Able to flex to changing pressures from client timelines and needs while protecting QC steps to maintain output even if this means ‘pushing back’
New business development
- Helps to identify opportunities in assigned accounts and lead meetings and strategic discussions with clients, authors, and advisors
- Provide practical and easy to disseminate client briefs
What You Should Have
- Experience in a Medical Writing role within an agency environment
- Educated to at least Master’s degree level in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy or a related discipline. A PhD would be an advantage
- Proven ability to work under pressure as business needs arise
- Excellent written English (vocabulary and grammar), with good attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and awareness skills
- Excellent IT skills, particularly using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
